New Extra Money App – Locket

locket extra money android app
Someone at Locket emailed me several weeks ago, wanting me to share the info about their extra money Android app. Granted this one isn’t going to make you much, but I personally enjoy these little extra money apps. I’ve got several installed and try to use them when I think of it. However, Locket is exclusively for Android users so if you only have an Apple product (like me), then you’re out of luck for now. Maybe at some point in the future this will be available for Apple users, too.
Locket is currently only available to people in the US.

How Locket Works

This one is very, very easy to use. If you install Locket, your lock screen will have an ad on it instead of a background image. When you swipe with your fingers to unlock your lock screen, you get paid. So basically you are getting paid for simply unlocking your phone! So simple.

Earning Money

You will only be earning somewhere around one cent per ad swipe with Locket, which doesn’t sound like much. But if you think about how many times you probably unlock your phone throughout the day, this could add up. Locket also has a cap in place that prevents you from earning more than three cents each hour. I guess this keeps people from gaming their system. I also read in the Locket FAQ that sometimes they give out random bonuses.
In addition to getting paid cash, you also have options for receiving gift cards instead or donating your earnings to charity.

Getting Paid

You need $10 to cash out, and Locket will send your earnings to you via Paypal. They do payouts on Mondays, and your money will always arrive on the following Monday after you’ve requested your earnings.

Referring Friends

At one time, Locket was paying people $1 per referral to refer friends, which capped at $5 per account per month. However, I’m not sure if they are still doing this. I can’t find any information about that on their website. If someone who has the app installed can clarify if that’s the case or not, that would be great! I have also emailed the people at Locket to ask about this and I will update if and when I hear back.

Bottom Line

I know that the pay for this one is very low, but I can’t help but be fascinated by these things that pay you for doing things you’d do anyway — like unlock your phone or tablet. It’s not like you’re having to put forth any extra effort at all to earn the money. If I had an Android device, I would install this one for sure. I’m happy to let money add up over time!

Feedback

If you visit the Locket Facebook page, you will see that they have it set up so that people can post to the timeline. I always like to see this because it’s a good way to get inside information regarding whether or not a company is paying as promised. Fortunately, I am seeing people post there that they received their pay from Locket, so that’s good. I’m also seeing that the people at Locket take the time to interact with their followers — they clearly respond to people who post with questions and concerns. That’s another great sign!

Do you want to try Locket?

You can visit their website here to read about it and download. Let me know how it goes if you try out or reach cash out!

Answer Questions and Get Rewarded at Rewarder

answer questions for Rewarder
If you enjoy the question/answer type sites for extra money, you may want to check out Rewarder. This is a site that reminds me a lot of how Prizes.com used to be — people post things they need and then set a reward amount. If you help them to their satisfaction, you get the reward.
Rewarder is set up the same, but it looks like you are pretty much just answering questions for people rather than doing any other kinds of projects (graphic design, writing, etc.) like you would do on Prizes.com. Note – Prizes is now shut down.
There are also a few other ways you can earn money with Rewarder apart from just answering questions. More details on that below.

How it Works

First, create an account. You can do this through Facebook or manually with just your email address. Then, browse the rewards. There are many from what I can see! Just pick one you think you could answer well and then click the “Win This Reward” button. You’ll then be taken to a page where you can write your answer and submit it.
The person who created the reward will review all the answers they receive and pick one as the “best.” If that’s you, you get the reward money posted. The person who posts the reward will also have the opportunity to request more info from you if they need it before declaring a winner.
You can also earn money on Rewarder by participating in usability tests, surveys, and iPhone app tests. From what I can see though the focus is mainly on asking/answering questions here.

Getting Paid

Rewarder will send your earnings over to your account immediately after any answer you submit is selected as best. You can then cash out at any time as long as you have earned at least $5. The current cash out options include Paypal and Amazon.
Note that Rewarder will deduct a 20 percent service fee from your earnings. So for example if you win a $5 reward, you’ll just get $4. While having fees deducted is no fun, most sites I’ve seen that are similar to this do the same thing. It’s not uncommon at all — they have to have a way to profit as well.
Rewarder also has a referral program in place. If anyone you know signs up for Rewarder and uses your referral link to do so, you’ll get a 10% commission from their earnings. Note that this is not money taken away from them — just a bonus that Rewarder gives to you as thanks for referring them. Your friends will still get all of the money that they earn.

How can you be sure you’ll get paid?

This is always a question I have with these kinds of sites — it’s worrisome to think that you might spend time typing out a thoughtful response for nothing. Unfortunately with this site because of the way it’s set up, there is no guarantee. It’s very possible that someone else may submit a response the reward creator prefers. So you’re taking a chance spending any time providing help here.
You may also be wondering if there is any protection in place to prevent the reward creator from abusing the system — for example, reading through the responses and getting all the help they need and then just not selecting any answer as best. I read through the Rewarder FAQ and saw that the reward creator cannot browse any submitted answers until they pay Rewarder. However, it appears they are free to post the question before paying. So I guess there is a chance there might be some people who just post questions randomly — maybe not fully understanding how Rewarder works — with no intention of ever paying for responses. Maybe because they are just playing around or because they don’t get how it works. My hope is that the majority of the time this is not the case, but we’ll see. From reading through the FAQ, it does appear that Rewarder takes abuse VERY seriously and regularly bans the accounts of non-responsive reward creators.
One good thing about all this is that every reward creator has a profile and you can click on it to see if they’ve ever rewarded people before and how many rewards they’ve given out, etc. So this way you could kind of pick and choose who you answer questions for.

My Thoughts

I really like the interface here. It’s a nice, clean design and it’s very easy to navigate around and find exactly what you need. I went ahead and signed up myself and submitted a response to one of the reward questions. We’ll see what happens with it.
Update: I cashed out for an Amazon gift code on 10/29/13 and received it via email the very next day — 10/30/13! That was fast pay!
This site and others like it are generally only good for extra money, but it looks like they pay within just a few days after you cash out, so it might be a good “egg” to have in your basket if you are good at providing detailed, thoughtful responses and have knowledge to share.
The only real downside is that the money isn’t guaranteed. Definitely keep that in mind before you spend too much time answering questions.

How to Sign Up

You can go here to get started. Good luck and please come back and let me know how it went for you after you’ve tried it. You can also see more question/answer websites that pay you in my directory.
Note: This post contains my referral link for Rewarder. If you would prefer not to sign up as my referral, you can visit the site directly to sign up with no referral.

Sverve Now Paying Bloggers For Tweeting

A few months ago I reviewed Sverve, a new site bloggers can use to find sponsored post campaigns to participate in. While a lot of what they have to offer isn’t really in the work from home niche, I do have two other websites, so I was excited to sign up myself and look around. So far I’ve enjoyed Sverve because in addition to being a place to check for paid blogging opps, it’s also a place to meet and network with other bloggers.

Getting Paid to Tweet

I just wanted to pass along that Sverve recently introduced a new way for bloggers to earn — by tweeting! If you’re a member at a site like Sponsored Tweets, then you know how this works. You may occasionally get an opportunity in your Sverve dashboard or via email asking you to tweet something out for one of the advertisers. Sverve is pretty careful to make sure they only send paid tweeting opps your way if they match your blogging niche.
If you get an invitation to tweet, you can click through to see who it’s for and what it needs to say. Then, just click to post the tweet and it will immediately get sent out and the money will be credited to your Sverve account. Remember that Sverve will pay you as long as you have earned at least $5, so it wouldn’t take too many tweets for you to get there. The offers I’ve had so far paid anywhere from .30 to .40 cents each.

My Experience

Since Sverve introduced this, I’ve had a handful of paid tweeting opps show up in my email. I have done a few and been paid. I like that they also limit how much they let you tweet. For example, yesterday I had three opps, but they only let me tweet out two back to back. That’s good that there are limits in place because you don’t want to be spamming your followers with sponsored content.
If you are a blogger and you’re not already using Sverve

Sverve is a nifty new site for bloggers that combines social networking with paid blog campaigns. It kind of reminds me of Klout too because you have a score — the higher your score, the more influential brands and other bloggers would consider you to be within your areas of expertise.
I had been seeing a little bit of buzz about this one here and there but held off on signing up until I realized it’s more than just another brand to blogger site. The fact that this one is also a way to network with other bloggers and additionally allows you to share your posts — Pinterest style — piqued my interest!

How to Get Started

Getting started is very easy. Just sign up as an “Influencer.” You’ll notice that you have a couple of options here. You can either sign up directly with your name/email, or you can choose to connect through Facebook or Twitter and sign up quickly that way. Fill out the relevant details about your blog and social media following and add your areas of influence to your profile. Sverve lets you add up to five of these. For example, I listed work from home, blogging, jobs, etc. Just use words relevant to the main things you blog about.
After you’ve listed your areas of influence, you’ll notice each one has a score beside it. This score can go up or down for each area depending on how many endorsements you get from other bloggers. For example, if you write about work from home and I come across your profile, I might “endorse” you for that area of influence, thereby causing your score to go up. The higher your score, the better, obviously. You have a total score for your profile that is calculated based on your social influence, blog influence, and Sverve influence. Getting these endorsements will help that score go up.
Initially, your score will be low and it might take a little while to build it up. You can build it up by getting endorsements, getting “favorites” on the posts you share on Sverve, and when other Sverve users follow you. It’s a good idea to be as active as possible. Follow others and they may follow you back. Endorse others and they may endorse you back. Favorite the posts of others and they might return the favor. You get the idea.

Sharing Your Posts

It is really easy to share your blog posts on Sverve. They have a little “bookmarklet” that you can click and drag to your bookmarks bar of your browser. Every time you publish a post on your blog, just click the bookmarklet and it will share it to Sverve. Note that Sverve’s feed is “Pinterest-style” with big images, so you’ll have the best chance of getting clicks through to your posts if you have eye-catching images to go along with your blog posts.
If people “favorite” your Sverve posts or comment on them, your score will start to increase. So be sure to share your posts every time you write one. I admit I always forget to do this!

Sverve Campaigns

Sverve campaigns are opportunities to make a little money or get some kind of incentive for blogging about a certain product or service. Advertisers post campaigns on Sverve, hoping to get bloggers to apply. They go through all the applicants for each campaign and select the bloggers they want to blog for their campaigns. While many of these campaigns admittedly are geared towards women/mom bloggers, there are some that might work for any sort of blog, so it’s worth being a member here and keeping tabs on what’s available. Some of the campaigns offer compensation in addition to a free product/service while others just give you the free product/service in exchange for a review. I also saw one today where the only real incentive is being entered into a raffle for a prize.
To browse the available campaigns, just click over to the tab that says “Campaigns” to see what’s there. There is always a huge list. Just apply for the ones that interest you. You may or may not be selected, but don’t despair if you don’t get selected. Just keep applying to campaigns and working to build up your score until you do. The higher your score on Sverve, the better your chances of getting picked for campaigns.
Update – Sverve is now paying bloggers to tweet on Twitter, too! I’ve already been invited into four paid tweeting opps!

Getting Endorsements

One of the best ways to get endorsements for your areas of expertise is to endorse other bloggers. I know that when I see I’ve gotten endorsements, I try to go and return the favor. Another thing you can do is add one of the Sverve badges to your blog’s sidebar. Just go to the “About” tab on your Sverve dashboard and click “Goodies.” This gives you three different badges to choose from and the code to get them copy/pasted into your sidebar. Clicking the badge will take someone to your Sverve profile, where they can easily click to endorse you. You can look to the bottom right of my sidebar to see an example of what the Sverve badges look like.

My Thoughts

I am liking Sverve so far because it’s not only an outlet for me to share my blog posts, but also a way for me to easily network with other bloggers and find sponsored campaigns to participate in. So far I haven’t seen a lot that would fall under the “work from home” niche, but I’m keeping my eye out anyway not only for this blog, but for my other two as well.
I know that it can be really hard for new bloggers to get much traffic right off the bat — especially since it’s hard to rank well in Google when you have a brand new blog — so Sverve and sites like it are a great way to start working toward getting readers. Thanks to social media, relying on search engines for blog traffic is no longer a have-to. There are lots of other ways to get the word out.

My Experience With Postloop Forum Posting

Postloop forum posting
The past few days, I’ve been doing some forum posting for Postloop.
I really, really enjoy this because it does not feel like work to me. I’m getting paid to hang out on forums and socialize — something I often feel guilty for doing when I actually am supposed to be working :) So this “job” is perfect!

How much can  you earn?

The amount you can earn at Postloop is the site’s primary downfall. Your pay is not that great. Also, they base your pay on a fairly complicated points system. 100 points is equal to $5 in earnings, and you can cash out your money to Paypal as soon as you have 100 points. Some people claim they can earn between $5 and $8 per hour. I can’t vouch for this because I haven’t timed myself. I just do it here and there when I have time during the day.
Your points per forum post will vary depending on your overall rating. After you sign up, you have to do 10 sample posts on Postloop’s forum called the “Postloop Portal.” This is so they can see how you do.
You need to be fluent in English, have good spelling/grammar, and you also need to be able to write helpful posts. In other words, you can’t get by with just posting irrelevant things on forum threads. They also want to make sure you don’t leave posts that are really short (try for at least three sentences each, preferably more).

How do you get paid?

This is the best part. You get paid with Paypal and there is potential to get paid every day. As stated above, you just need 100 points ($5) to request your earnings. I requested mine yesterday morning for the first time, and I was paid within a few hours after asking for it.
Making $5 a day on Postloop is not at all unrealistic from what I can see. Some people are able to make $10 per day. As far as amounts above that go, I can’t be sure. If you do Postloop and you’re able to bring in more than $5 to $10 per day, I’d love to know about it and also what your system is.
Even if you only participate occasionally, Postloop is one of those things that it’s good to know it’s there. If you’re in a pinch and need to get your hands on just a little bit of money quickly, you can work it up and then request it.

How does signing up work?

This is the part that trips a lot of people up, so I’m going to try to give you some step by step instructions. I admit the sign-up process is a little confusing.
  • Create an account here.
  • After signing up for Postloop, you’ll need to go and register at The Postloop Portal so you can do your 10 trial forum posts.
  • After you’ve registered at the Postloop Portal, you must also subscribe to the Portal through Postloop. If you do not do this, your trial posts won’t get counted. You’ll know the subscribe button because there are three little icons off to the right-hand side of the forum list. Each forum listing has these three icons. They look like this, and the “subscribe” button is the one in the center with the man and the plus sign:
subscribe
  • After you’re sure you’ve subscribed, make your 10 posts at The Postloop Portal. Try to not only respond to existing posts, but create a few new topics of your own. They want you to both respond to threads and also create them (trust me! This is what they told me after I was accepted!)
  • You’ll get a notification after you’ve done your 10 trial posts that Postloop is reviewing your account. This is where the waiting begins. They have 24 hours to review you, but it normally doesn’t take that long.
  • If you get notification that you’re in, you’ll see they’ve given you a user rating. This is one factor that will determine how much you get paid per post you make.
  • Now, click on the link that says “forums” above, and start registering for forums that interest you and start posting! Some forums have a daily limit of posts you can make and get paid for and some don’t. Sign up with as many as you want and just get started. You’ll see your points add up and once you have 100 points, you can cash out. Also, be sure to subscribe to the forums you’ve registered at through Postloop too just like you did with the Postloop Portal in order to get credit for the posts you’ve made.
  • Some forums have a daily limit (it seems many are set to 5). If you at any time want to see if you are close to hitting your limit on a forum, just click the link to the left from your dashboard that says “Subscriptions.” This link will show you what forums you are subscribed to and how many posts you’ve done at each one.
  • You will spend a bit of time registering yourself at different forums the first day or so. While this can be time consuming, you really only have to spend a lot of time on it once. After you’ve registered at a forum, you don’t have to go back and do it again. Once you are a member of several forums, you can just post on your favorites and not bother registering on any more of them unless you just want to or you see a new one appear that you really want to join.
If you are still confused about signing up, my sister wrote a very detailed post on her blog about how to do it if you want to check that out.

Can people outside the US sign up?

Yes, but your English has to be really good. They won’t be able to accept you if it isn’t.

Does your user rating change?

Yes. Postloop will give you your initial rating after you’ve been accepted, but this can go up and down because the forum owners are allowed to rate you, too. If a forum owner likes the posts you’re making, you’ll probably get rated high. If not, you’ll get rated low. Ratings can go up to 5 (5 is the best).
I got in with a score of 4.0, and this was mainly because when I did my trial posts, I did not start any new threads. I just responded to others. My husband signed up too and I instructed him to also start a few posts. He started about two posts and then just responded to existing posts for the other eight and got in with a 4.5 score. So be sure to both start and respond to posts if you want to keep a good user rating.

What about the referral program?

They do have one. If you know someone that you think might like earning money with Postloop forum posting, tell them about it. You will receive a 20% bonus for all of the points that your referrals earn. They’ll give you a personalized link for your friends to use, so just copy paste it and tell them to sign up through it.
If you happen to have your own blog or website, they have a lot of promotional banners and things you can paste into your sidebar if you want.

My Thoughts

Bottom line — I really enjoy Postloop. I know the money isn’t great, but I really like being involved in these things that allow me to get paid daily if I need to. It makes me feel sort of secure. Also, Postloop is fun. I like to socialize in forums anyway, so this is just a way to get paid for doing it. Don’t be shy about signing up for forums for things you think have no interest in,  either. I signed up for a health forum even though I didn’t think I’d have anything to contribute, and surprisingly it’s been one of my favorite ones to socialize on.
I had written a review of Postloop on this site before, but I had not tried it myself so I didn’t have that valuable first-hand experience. But now thankfully I do. I hope Postloop sticks around for a while!

Go here if you want to start doing some forum posting for Postloop.

If you have any problems at all with the sign-up process or just have some basic questions on how it works, please comment below. I will help you get started all I can.

Very Good Online Income System With Clixsense

ClixSense is another well-known site in the world of PTC advertising. It works very similarly to NeoBux in that you earn money by viewing ads and you can also earn even more by referring people.
When someone signs up to ClixSense using your referral link they become part of your downline. This means that you earn a commission from a percentage of what people in your downline earn. It's a great system and really opens up the earning possibilities once you get some active people in your downline.
There are many different ways to cash out your money from ClixSense. They offer PayPal, Payza, Liberty Reserve, and cheque payments.

Step 1: Register

Register in ClixSense by clicking on this banner:

You are now in the home page of ClixSense. In the upper part of the page, you should see a button "Sign Up". Click there and you will see a registration form:

As you can see, you must enter a username, password, valid e-mail, your first and last names. Just a standard registration form
After you have successfully filled the form, you can click on the button Create Account. Now check your mailbox! You should receive a confirmation e-mail soon, with a link you must click in order to activate your ClixSense account. You can't use ClixSense before you have clicked the link in the confirmation e-mail.

Step 2: Login

You will see a button called Sign In in the upper right corner. After you click it (or just hover the mouse over it), you will see the login form of ClixSense. Simply enter the username and password you have registered with, and click "Sign In". Now you are logged in and you can start earning easy cash.

Step 3: View ads and earn money

You will see a button called View Ads in the upper part of the page. After you click it, you will see all the available ads in the moment. As you can see, there are different type of ads, you can click on - Micro, Mini, Standard and Extended Advertisements. Each type gives you different amount of money for clicking it. The amount per ad ranges from $0.001 and up to $0.02.

When you click an advertisement, a new page opens with the advertiser's site. Before the timer starts, you have to solve a small Picture CAPTCHA (for security reasons). You will be shown 5 images - 4 images of dogs and 1 image of a cat. Click THE CAT and the timer will start. In the upper part of the page, you will see a bar timer. You must wait for it to reach the end (it depends on the type of ad, but it varies from 3 to 30 seconds). When the bar is filled, it means that the time for viewing the ad is over, and you have earned the money for it! In the upper part of the page you will see the money you have been credited with and a little link saying "Close". You can click it, in order to close the page. Now move on to next ad!

Referrals

Referrals are the true power of ClixSense!
Referrals are basically users, who work for you. They are normal users and they earn money just like you - by clicking ads. But when they earn money, you earn money too!
Referrals are people who have registered in ClixSense and entered you as their referrer (they have clicked on your referral link, banner or you have told them about the great power ot the ClixSense system). Unlike Neobux, here you earn not only from your direct referrals, but from their direct referrals and their direct referrals and so on until 8 LEVELS of referrals.
The big question is HOW DO I GET REFERRALS to work for me? It is very important to have a web page to promote your referral links and banners. See more about my offer for getting referrals HERE.
You can read more about the referrals and what you earn from them in this HELP PAGE.

ClixGrid

ClixGrid is a game of chance. You can start it from the third button in the upper part of the page, called ClixGrid. You will be presented with a 30x20 grid, 600 blocks - each block opens an ad in a new window and you have to see it for 10 seconds. The prizes are from $0,25 to $5. Standard users have 25 chances every day, and Premium members have 50 chances.
